Christine Warfel After graduating magna cum laude from Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in social science, Christine Warfel began contributing her numerous talents to healthcare and nonprofit organizations. Accredited as a Certified Senior Advisor and a Certified Geriatric Care Manager, Chris' diverse experience now benefits the clients of FamilyCare Senior Solutions.

For more than 17 years, Chris held management positions, first with Portsmouth Psychiatric Center and then with The Barry Robinson Center in Norfolk. In 1997 she began volunteering with the Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, and has since filled several leadership roles with the organization. In 2003, she developed and presented a program to train Charlottesville police officers in identifying and interacting with Alzheimer's patients. Before joining FamilyCare, Chris worked as events manager for the local Alzheimer's Association chapter for two years.

Her community service has also included donating time to Literacy Volunteers of America, acting as alumni ambassador for Virginia Wesleyan College, and coordinating her church's winter sheltering program for the homeless for seven years. Chris serves on the board of directors of Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia. She is a member of the Portsmouth, Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Peninsula chapters of the Task Force on Aging and the Senior Services Coalition of Williamsburg.

Angela M Whitlock, BS,CSA,CMC
Vice President of Client Services 

Christine Warfel Angela Whitlock has been privileged to work with seniors in the healthcare field for almost 15 years. Today, Angela is FamilyCare's Vice President of Client Services and helps senior clients achieve their goals for independence, support, comfort, and safety.

After graduating from Radford University in 1992, Angela studied at the Medical University of South Carolina with an emphasis on health administration. She began her career coordinating medical equipment services between senior clients, their physicians, and insurance intermediaries. She also worked for a regional HMO as a Supervisor in its member services division, coordinating client services and payments. She is a Certified Senior Advisor and a Certified Geriatric Care Manager. Angela has served on the board of the Portsmouth Service League, is the past chairperson of the Portsmouth Social Services Advisory Committee, and is a member of the Portsmouth Task Force on Aging.

Angela grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia, and currently lives in Portsmouth, Virginia, with her two sons.
